New multimodality imaging systems, including PET-CT and MR-PET bring together anatomical and molecular information and requiring not only additional training but also accreditation of both radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians involved in Hybrid Diagnostic Imaging. Clinical applications discussed include staging and re-staging of common cancers and key cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. Training in both nuclear medicine and radiology is a prerequisite for high-quality image interpretation of hybrid systems.
The Advanced CT portion of this course presents new developments in this ever evolving technology such as dual energy, spectral, volumetric and dose reduction CT. CT advances get incorporated into PET-CT influencing diagnostic imaging as a whole. This annual case based course on PET-CT, MRI-PET and advanced CT offers both comprehensive lectures by leading experts in the field, as well as hands-on reading workshops in reduced groups.

Special Competence Certification in PET-CT will be provided.
